 My Experience Attending Bushiroad EXPO 2024 in Manila.

In this post, I would like to share my experience attending the Bushiroad EXPO 2024 last October 12 and 13 at Ayala Malls TriNoma and I hope this post will also serve as an insight for those who want to attend these kinds of events, but first let me introduce myself, for those who don't know me I'm Jeffry Manlutac, and I'm a Musician from the Philippines. I served as the lead singer for the 90's Filipino Rock Band called White Lies the band that sang the iconic Rock Ballads Alaala Mo and First Love Never Dies. I served as the band's lead singer from 2013-2014 and I've been a fan of the BanG Dream! Franchise since 2017 and as a fan of this franchise for 7 years now one of my ultimate dreams is to attend one of Bushiroad's events but unfortunately at the moment due to personal and financial reasons, I can't go to Japan to watch my favorite bands such as MyGO!!!!! and having an event like Bushiroad EXPO is the closest thing that I can get to experience what Bushiroad has to offer sure I may not be able to watch one of my favorite bands perform live such as MyGO!!!!! at the moment but having an event such as this featuring one of the members of the said band is such a great thing that's why I was so excited when the Bushiroad EXPO was announced last February and it really made me want to attend even more when it was announced that the guest will be Chihaya Anon's seiyuu from banG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! and the guitarist for the real-life Japanese All-Female Rock Band MyGO!!!!! the lovely Tateishi Rin-chan. Although I prepared for this event in February there were still some setbacks that happened and the things that I initially planned didn't happen, although the event itself went really well but we will get to that later. My initial plan was to allocate a bigger budget for the merch, and other expenses like transportation, food, hotel, etc. My initial plan was to check into a hotel near the venue so that I wouldn't go back and forth from Tarlac to Manila which took 3 hours for each bus ride but unfortunately, what happened was from July to September we experienced a series of typhoons here in the Philippines and I was unable to work around those time and there are bills to pay so my budget was compromised and not to mention a couple of days before the event I haven't got my pay yet from my job kinda like I was being tested and experienced some adversities and since I'm determined to attend this event no matter what it made me think some other options that I will do in able for me to attend this event so I decided to cut cost like instead of checking-in into a hotel I will just go back and forth from Tarlac to Manila so that I could save some money from a very tight budget and the merch that I will purchase will be the Bromide which is kinda like a postcard which Rin-chan will sign on the autograph sessions and speaking of which the Bromide are just limited for 30 people since the Bromide is the only merch that Rin-chan will sign for the autograph sessions and here's my advice to those who will attend to these kinds of events, though there's an advantage if you come early but having a slot for the autograph sessions are determined via lottery kinda like a gacha where you have to get a number from 1-30 and here's my experience on it at the first day I was very lucky I just got it in 1 pull but at the second day it took me 3 pulls and after you've got a number from 1-30 it qualifies you to purchase Rin-chan's Bromide and they will give you a claiming ticket and you will get the Bromide at the autograph sessions after the talk part of the event and one important thing to mention there will be no selfie with the guest seiyuu cause you know it's one of the codes of being an idol, the stage personals will ask you to silent your phone and taking photos and videos during autograph sessions are extremely prohibited. But anyway, during the autograph sessions in a way, I was a bit nervous but at the same time I was excited to finally meet Rin-chan, and, I swear I just can't express how beautiful and radiant she is. She's so nice, friendly and she really is such a sweetheart. And I was very lucky that I met her on both days and the event itself was so great so yeah it's all worth it.
