Last night, I watched episode 1 of the 2026 remake of Magic Knight Rayearth, and it brought back such great memories because it's the very first anime I watched as a kid in the 90s. As someone who watched the original 90s anime series and even read the manga, my inner child is so happy right now. Not only did they follow the manga's original storyline, but they also kept the overall aesthetic, like those cute little faces and big eyes that scream 90s. They also included the original opening theme of the 90s series, Yuzurenai Negai by Naomi Tamura, as an insert song in the end credits, which is such a nod to the original series. The song is so nostalgic. It's the very first Anisong theme I've ever heard, and Naomi Tamura is probably one of my all-time favorite Anisong singers, who inspired me as a musician and is a major influence on my style of singing. I'm a tenor who can also hit the female range, and I've been singing the song in its original key. The animation is gorgeous and absolutely stunning. The voice cast is top tier, and I'm so happy to know that the three main characters are voiced by my favorite seiyūs: Rie Takahashi as Fū Hōōji, Rumi Okubo as Umi Ryūzaki, and Ayane Sakura as Hikaru Shidō. The fact that this series aired in my birth month is such a great feeling, and what a great time to be alive.
Fun Fact:
As someone who's also a fan of BanG Dream!, I find a correlation between two of my favorite series, Magic Knight Rayearth and BanG Dream!, given that 2 of the members of Afterglow- Ayane Sakura, who voiced Ran Mitake and now voices Hikaru, and Emiri Katō, who voiced Himari Uehara and now voices Presea.
Lastly, Hekiru Shiina, the original seiyΕ« for Hikaru, voiced Soyo Nagasaki's mom in BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!, and the one who took over as Hikaru happened to be Ayane Sakura, so in a way it really is such a full-circle moment.

My 2025 Highlights @ ANISAMA WORLD and Bushiroad EXPO in Manila

Image
Hello everyone, since today, December 31, 2025, is the last day of the year and I know that this post might look like a repost about the events I attended in June, which are ANISAMA WORLD and Bushiroad EXPO 2025 in Manila, which was held in New Frontier Theater and Gateway Mall Araneta on June 7 and 8, 2025 but since some photos were uploaded a bit later and there are things things I forgot to mention in my original post so I figured I should make a repost and compile all the photos in one Album and coincidentally today December 31 also happened to be the birthday of Ave Mujica's drummer the lovely Yonezawa Akane-chan whom I had a pleasure of meeting attendiing the event which I will be mentioning later.  Anyways For those who don't know me, let me introduce myself, I'm Jeffry Manlutac, I'm a musician from the Philippines, and I served as the lead singer for the '90s Filipino Rock Band called White Lies, the band that sang the iconic rock ballads Alaala Mo and Firs...

Ave Mujica - Sophie πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜˜πŸ₯°πŸ˜πŸŒ™⚙️πŸ”₯🎹πŸ”₯🎸πŸ”₯🎀 🎸πŸ”₯πŸ₯πŸ”₯🎸πŸ”₯

For those who are asking who Sophie is, Sophie is a nickname of the female name Sophia, meaning “Wisdom of God,” or "Divine Wisdom" Originally meaning simply “wisdom” or “knowledge,” it came to signify ultimate knowledge after Aristotle.  Ave Mujica's worldview relates to post-Aristotelian cosmology, which adds ether to the four elements (Symbol series). However, the contemporary concept of monads and aeons also existed.  Aristotelian cosmology, giving rise to mysticism like Gnosticism. Sophia is one such Aeon, possessing the mythical quality of the Fall of Knowledge. Aeons are the unfolding of the essential aspects of the Monad (the Supreme God), constituting the celestial realm. Among the various types, Sophia occupies the lowest tier. The story goes that she attempted to comprehend the Father Monad alone, leading to her collapse and Fall, resulting in the creation of the Demiurge and the material world. This song likely complements ELEMENTS. And speaking of Aeons, they...

The Misumi Uika Theory πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜˜πŸ₯°πŸ˜πŸŒ™⚙️🎀🎸πŸ”₯πŸŒŸπŸ›ΈπŸŽ€πŸ”₯

Since Mugendai Mewtype recently covered Ave Mujica's song called KiLLKiSS, this theory suddenly came into my mind and could be an insane plot twist for the upcoming MyGO!!!!! x Ave Mujica Sequel Series, which will be a perfect opportunity to introduce Mugendai Mewtype in the series.. In BanG Dream! Ave Mujica, after Hatsune left the island, moved to Tokyo and joined an idol group that became Sumimi. She then uses her sister's name as Misumi Uika, and since then, we have never heard anything about what happened to the real Uika and their mom, except in Episode 12 of BanG Dream! Ave Mujica, when it was mentioned that the real Uika and their mom had already left the island, moved to the city, probably in Tokyo. So here's my theory and prediction since the real Uika actually aspires to become an idol, part of the reason why she and their mom left the island and moved to the city, and since the real Uika's sister Hatsune already uses the name Misumi Uika as a professiona...
