I just watched episode 2 of the 2026 remake of Magic Knight Rayearth, and Presea finally appeared. And those who only watched the 1994 anime series are already expecting Presea's tragic fate, but as someone who watched the 1994 anime series and read the manga, that won't be the case. This remake isn't a retelling of the 1994 anime series, but rather a faithful adaptation of the original source material, which is the manga. For those who don't know, Presea didn't die after forging the Escudo Ore. You see, back in the 90s, when the manga was still ongoing, the common practice of Anime Studios back then was to make some changes, like filler episodes, changing some sections of the story, or adding characters that are not even in the manga, called anime-only characters. The character Siera, which they introduced as Presea's twin, was actually just an anime-only character, since the studio put themselves into a plot hole when they killed Presea, not knowing that in th...

Ayane Sakura as Hikaru Shidō Rumi Okubo as Umi Ryūzaki Rie Takahashi as Fū Hōōji Saori Hayami as Princess Emeraude Yuki Ono as Zagato Mika Kikuchi as Mokona Yūki Kaji as Clef Emiri Katō as Presea Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Ferio Mamiko Noto as Alcyone Ayumu Murase as Ascot Hitomi Ueda as Caldina Hiroki Yasumoto as Lafarga Last night, I watched episode 1 of the 2026 remake of Magic Knight Rayearth, and it brought back such great memories because it's the very first anime I watched as a kid in the 90s. As someone who watched the original 90s anime series and even read the manga, my inner child is so happy right now. Not only did they follow the manga's original storyline, but they also kept the overall aesthetic, like those cute little faces and big eyes that scream 90s. They also included the original opening theme of the 90s series, Yuzurenai Negai by Naomi Tamura, as an insert song in the end credits, which is such a nod to the original series. The song is so nostalgic. It...

(Today marks exactly four years since Mai-chan (Maiko Irie) joined the DJ unit "Happy Around!"—handling keyboards, vocals, and dance—and took over the role of Rei Togetsu! With this, she becomes the longest-serving voice actor to play Rei. Mai-chan, thank you so much for breathing life into Rei-chan, my absolute favorite character. I love you!)

Hello everyone, since today, December 31, 2025, is the last day of the year and I know that this post might look like a repost about the events I attended in June, which are ANISAMA WORLD and Bushiroad EXPO 2025 in Manila, which was held in New Frontier Theater and Gateway Mall Araneta on June 7 and 8, 2025 but since some photos were uploaded a bit later and there are things things I forgot to mention in my original post so I figured I should make a repost and compile all the photos in one Album and coincidentally today December 31 also happened to be the birthday of Ave Mujica's drummer the lovely Yonezawa Akane-chan whom I had a pleasure of meeting attendiing the event which I will be mentioning later.  Anyways For those who don't know me, let me introduce myself, I'm Jeffry Manlutac, I'm a musician from the Philippines, and I served as the lead singer for the '90s Filipino Rock Band called White Lies, the band that sang the iconic rock ballads Alaala Mo and Firs...
